What's in my school bag 2015 | Erin ✍

Unfortunately, I'm going back to school tomorrow. The summer has gone way too fast for me. It feels like I just finished yesterday! So I thought I'd do a blogpost on what's in my school bag. Hopefully this will help some of you get organised; so you're not rushing about the week before.

School Bag

School bags are always hard for me. I'm so picky when it comes to them so for me, the best option was buying one online. I browsed through the 'Hype' website and found a few which I really loved. Most of them are £25 each which is pretty expensive so before you think of buying one, shop about. I found a website that done the same bag I wanted for £13. Also, a rucksack was a yes for me because last year I had a handbag but because I had so many folders it got so sore on my shoulder. If you feel like you'll have a lot of things going into your bag, I'd 100% recommend buying a bagpack.

Stationary

I got my pencil case off eBay and a lot of my stationary as well, it's so much cheaper! Tesco is also so good for stationary and I got all my folders from there. Remember the basics though: pens, pencils, rubber & ruler. I also suggest buying packets of them as throughout the year, everyone somehow ends up loosing all of them. Well I know I do!😂

Cosmetics Bag

I try and remember to bring powder with me, for using after PE. I don't want to look like a greasy tomato! But make sure you keep it hidden as then everyone want to use it. 😉 Also a MUST is diode-rent. Preferably roll on as then, no one will want to use it! The worst is when it's all gone so soon because everyone forgets their own and uses yours. Another thing to help you smell nice is just some body spray. I got mine from H&M and it was only £3!! And it also smells exactly like 'Pure Seduction' but VS!

Dairy

If your school doesn't do their own diaries, then you need to purchase one!! In school, especially in further years, you need to stay organised! The worst thing is completely forgetting about your homework and realising the period before. Purchasing a diary to keep track of assignments and coursework can reduce the stress; so you know when things need to be done and handing in, creating a schedule for you and time relax.

Timetable

Be sure to keep your timetable on you. Make sure to have a written/printed copy with you and also, if you bring your phone to school, download a timetable app. This will be good for quickly checking it. But make sure to use the paper copy in class so you don't get in trouble  because you went on your phone!

Sanitary Items

This is a MUST! There's nothing worse than Mother Nature surprising you half way through school, and you have nothing for it!
Keep some pads/tampons in a pocket, possibly in your blazer, that is easily accessible.

Water Bottle

This is one of the most important. Staying hydrated helps you concentrate more & helps with so many other things such as your skin. Make sure to drink at least a bottles worth throughout the school day. This will make you feel so much better and also keep you from feeling dehydrated which will affect your performance. If you're not a big fan of water on its own, I suggest trying fruit infused water. Maybe put a few lemon slices in your bottle to make it more fun and motivate you to drink more water.

So that's it. Try not to worry about school. If you stay organised and do as you're told, there's nothing to be worried about. Happy holidays! Enjoy the time you have left, because it will go by so quick.

Get your nails in shape at home | Erin

When I see people who have had their nails done, I'm instantly jealous. I've always wanted to go to a proper salon and splurge... but at 14 I don't have £20 floating about! So I decided to try my own way of doing it for cheap, at home and when I wanted to. So today I'm going to spread my wisdom and show you my easy, cheap way of getting nails that look salon standard !

Amazon and eBay are the best places to look for the things you need. You can get them for so cheap and for pretty good quality! ( all the ones I used will be linked below )
The things you will need:

- artificial nails in various different sizes
- curved nail clipper
- nail glue

Step 1 ~ start by cutting your artificial nails down to size. The ones I got we're very long, which wouldn't suit me for everyday. So I decided to purchase some curved nail clippers to fit them down to the size I wanted. This is perfect as you can choose what size your nails want to be - whether you want them to be full on claws or go for a natural nail look - it's your choice!

Step 2 ~ now all you have to do is apply the nail glue to your real nail and press the artificial nail down, avoiding putting it on top of the cuticle. I normally hold down the nail for about 10 seconds- ensuring it is well stuck.

And now ... all you have to do is paint them! That easy! And that ladies and gents is how you get salon lookalike nails for under £7.50! ( which you get many uses out of )

Let me know if I helped by leaving a comment down below, thanks for reading!!

Simple Summer Skincare Routine!

Flawless Summer Skincare Routine

Recently, since its Summer I have been looking for a super easy and quick skincare routine that would take me less that ten minutes to do! I don't mind doing a long skincare routine but I felt that since it was Summer, I should find something that works just as good but a million times simpler!

This is a two step skincare routine, that works wonders and is still simple at the same time! I have never really tried any of Garniers skincare products before, but I really want to try more after loving these two products! Lets get into to the actual routine and how the products work:

Firstly, I begin by using the Garnier Micellar Water, I have always heard great things about the product but only really got it last month to try out as something quick an easy! Basically for this cleansing water all you need is a cotton pad, the product doesn't need to be removed after use! I use this at night to remove my eye and make-up, and I just feel it works so much better than wipes! I also use this in the morning just to cleanse my face!

After cleansing using the Micellar Water, I like to grab the Garnier Rose Water moisturiser! I feel its super important for everyone to moisturise, especially for me as I have pretty dry skin! This is a super hydrating moisturiser. I basically just rub a small amount of this product all over my face at night and in the morning! It also helps my make-up glide on, as there is no dry skin on my face after using this!

For me, this is a perfect, cheap, and easy skincare routine for Summer! This is exactly what I was looking for an I am so glad I found it! Let me know what you think about this routine down below, or over at out instagram page @simplybeautyyxo

See you soon, Erin and Amy

Everyday Flawless Makeup Routine

For my everyday make-up I like to go for a dewy, natural look. All products that I used will be listed below as always! I firstly begin with a clean face, I have a skincare routine coming up soon, so make sure to keep an eye out for that.

I then prime my face using the Rimmel Lasting Finish Primer, to ensure a smooth application. I love this primer as it makes my make-up stay fresh all day. This primer is especially good for dry skin!

On an everyday basis I tend to wear this foundation by Rimmel London again, this is the Match Perfection one is in the shade Light Porcelain. I always mix this with my simple kind to skin illuminating radiance cream, I do this as it gives a dewy look with a slight glow.

For concealer, I swear by my Collection Lasting perfection in the lightest shade. I apply this under my eyes and on any blemishes I may have. This has a really good coverage, I sometimes only wear this instead of foundation on days when I am running late! This concealer is only £4 which is a steal, personally I would say this is just as good, if not better as many high end concealers out at the moment!

For powder I go for the Rimmel London Stay Matte in the shade 001 transparent, I love this as its so cheap and keeps my makeup in place all day, and ensures I am shine free! I only apply this to my T-Zone and areas where I have applied concealer. I like to keep this product in my hand bag or purse, so that if I can apply it if it needs touching up when im out. Comment down below if you would like to see a whats in my bag post!

To the apples of my cheeks, I lightly apply this gorgeous Max Factor blush in 05 lovely pink. This brightens up my face and adds a nice bit of natural colour to my cheeks! Another of my favourite blushes is the one in my Naked Flushed pallette!
For mascara I swear by the maybelline lash sensational mascara. This makes my eyelashes look lush - so full of volume and length!I love how it stays in place all day, and manages to hold a colour unlike some mascaras I have tried in the past! For me, maybelline do amazing mascaras! Mascara is a must whatever day of the week, as it opens my eyes up and makes me feel 100 times better!

Brows frame the face so I always fill them in with this brow kit 'brow this way' by Rimmel again! This is a powder products and is a perfect colour for my eyebrows - its in the shade 003 Dark Brown. With this product, I also tend to use it under my eyes to create the illusion of bigger eyes. Most of the time, I also love to smudge-line above my eyes, this makes my lashes appear thicker and longer. Some days I like to wear a winged eyeliner look, my fave eyeliner has to be the supercat by soap and glory!

And this is the finished look, thank you for reading x

See you next week, lots of love,

Dupe Monday!

Recently I have been keeping my eyes out for some drugstore dupes of high end products. High end makeup is usually amazing, but unfortunately comes with a high price. This means that when it comes to buying makeup on a budget you can't normally buy what you want! I've seen a few dupes around but I haven't seen most of the ones I have found!

Naked flushed:
We previously done a review on this, so check that out if you want to find a bit more on that! Naked flushed pallet by Urban Decay comes at a high price (£22). It contains a bronzer, blusher and highlighter. The price made me determined to find a perfect dupe as I know I wouldn't be able to repurchase                            this product!

Sleek Flushed:
Sleek makeup is a drugstore brand which is in superdrug! I was amazed by their products. This is the sleek flushed pallet (£10) which as you can see like the Naked Pallet is a trio of blusher, bronzer and highlighter. This pallet is a fraction of the price, and looks very expensive. As for the shades, the highlighter is extremely pigmented and is gorgeous. However the bronzer isn't as well pigmented. The blush I believe is a dupe of the nars orgasm blush! (Two dupes in one post!!)

The perfect treat ✭

Personally, I am not a breakfast person at all. I hate the typical breakfast items such as cereal and toast. However, I LOVE Nutella which made me think of how I could use it. Of corse I've tried a Nutella sandwich, which is heavenly, but I wanted something different. Then I thought of the perfect combo; Nutella and banana!

It's a simple and easy treat - all you have to do it chop up bananas and heat up Nutella for 20 seconds in the microwave. And boom, you're done. It's a simple way to encourage you to eat fruit ( even if the encouragement is a sugary spread. )

It only takes about 2 minutes to make and is enjoyed thoroughly. Hope you enjoy!

Finding the right foundation☯

when choosing a foundation, you want it to be the right one. especially when you're new to makeup, foundation can be a confusing area! here's some tips to help you find the perfect one.

1) what coverage do you want?
if you're wanting a light converge, BB Cream is perfect for you. if you're looking for coverage, I suggest a medium coverage foundation. this means you can tone it down or build it up!

2) what skin type do you have?
all foundations/bb creams suit different skin types. most of them will tell you on the bottle, if not on their website. if you can't seem to find what you're looking for then keep reading!

3) read reviews.
see what other people think of the product and get a better insight into it!

4) a colour that will suit your skintone.
my recommendation is to never order a foundation/bb cream from a picture (online) unless you're 100% sure it will match you. if in store, test the product against your jawline, never your hand!

5) can't find your colour?
if you have very dark or pale skin, drugstore foundations are normally not suited for you. high end foundations have a more broad range of colours. if you have pale skin and a tight budget then I recommend buying a pure white foundation. you can find some of these on Amazon and for very, very cheap prices ( the one I got is £4 ) if you mix this in with a foundation too dark for you, it will instantly lighten it.

i hope this helps anyone and let me know if it did in the comments!💕-E
